Latest style test

dfskhgadgadg i appologise for the TERRIBLE image quality i still have no good camera to hand and my scanner is tiny like a newborn kitten

i had a few problems with this. and im far from happy with it. but then i suppose that's why its a test?
love to know if people have any thoughts on it? specially the bits you thing work the most

personally i think one of the biggest successes was the limited pallet, when it really boils down to it there are only three different colours there and yet i like to think it doesn't look soooo bad...
i also thing the glass jar in the shrine looks pretty good..

please also check out my comics tumblr [its kinda new so sorry its a bit sparse] >> [link] << and follow it? yeah? yeah. cool.

Great colours and atmosphere! His expression, the details and the simple background - everything works beautifully :) I love this!

Wonderful ! I especially like the muted palette, and the fact that your dude doesn't look like a lady *bursts into song* I also like how he isn't pretty, you know? Like, he's bitten by cold and he has a chin

If I could offer one - unimportantandshouldbeignored - criticism, it would be that I think his height, body and shoulders in proportion to his head is...peculiar. He kinda looks like a nutcracker.

Oh! And another thing I like is how distinct your style is here; it's easily recongnizable, and if you did other pieces in the same style, I'd readily know who the artist was. I'd never confuse you with someone else.

thanks :D and no, i totally agree his head was a bit off and its been bugging me since i started painting (which is of course when i realised *sigh*

i'm glad you like the design, i wanted him to be relatable, not some sparkling hollywood action hero. the guys a grumpy (freezing cold) knight, not a model :p

I love this. Way more original than the 90% of the DA stuff out today. Keep it up :)
